Five More Things the Girls are Really Excited About

The girls have enjoyed discovering all kinds of fun stuff around the house. Here are five more things they especially love.

- Kitchen Table
I’ve mentioned it before, but the girls love sitting at the little bar in the kitchen. I ate there a lot with
my grandparents, sandwiched between them, and it was also a favorite place to paint with watercolors. Their excitement makes me smile.

- Doorbells
Emmy likes to hang back when we go into the house. She wants to ring the doorbell and watch me answer the door. Gwen also wants to ring the doorbell, but it doesn’t work quite as well since we have to hold her up to do it. That kind of takes out some of the surprise.

- Bath Tub Sliding Doors
It’s a little tricky for bath time and being able to see them clearly, but the girls love being able to play peekaboo with us using the sliding doors. Plus, only part of our floor is subject to water being splashed out! Just wait until they figure out this can be a hide and seek hiding spot, too.

-Closets
The mirrored closet is their favorite for obvious reasons, but they love being able to do hide and seek, have clubhouse space, or use the closet as a place to send stuffed animals for a variety of reasons. Time out, school, nap time, barn….. The closet serves so many purposes. Except maybe storing clothes in an organized, neat manner.

-Play Doh Room
We don’t really have a play doh room. It’s the sunroom. But the rug for it hasn’t been cleaned yet, and even when it is, it can be rolled back. Thus, it has become the room where we lay out a tablecloth and them go crazy with the play doh. We also have used the hallway for that, but this room keeps them slightly more confined. Sometimes.
