Christmas Trees

We have a pretty awesome situation for Christmas trees now. In the past, we put them in the playpen so that they would be harder to reach and nearly impossible to completely knock over. It worked okay. We couldn’t use the playpen at all for a couple months and we only used our small trees and not the big one, but with very curious small people, it was the best way to do it.

This year, we decided to use our sunroom as the Christmas tree room. So play doh is being relocated for a while, but we can put up both tall trees (Emmy talked me into a large white tree when they were on clearance last year) and use some shelves to mostly block off the room when we don’t want girls in there unsupervised. Plus, we can also put a small tree up in the living room in the corner behind the sofa where girls may be able to touch it, but it won’t be in the way for the most part.

We spent the whole day working on all these trees. The girls are all very excited (and did an excellent job of helping us decorate), and we rewarded their hard work with special red Oreos. The trees look great, we had a good snack, and it was a fun day. Happy holiday season to you!
