This is the dining room. Washer and dryer were moved here during painting, and they will eventually be moved back to their closet. Although a washer and dryer might be useful in the dining room with our messy eaters. Hmmm.....
You can also see some of the furniture I was able to buy at the auction; some boxes of stuff Dad, Mom, and I need to divide up from auctions; and a couple of my little DVD racks that are just hanging out until they can be placed in the living room and used again. See that racket? The girls aren't clear on what it's for, but they love running around with it. Which is why it's up high right now.
Next is the office. This room mostly has boxes filling it right now. At one point, I had ALL of the auction boxes piled and organized neatly in this room. Yeah, I know, right? Who would have thought I could be capable of such things? But then a certain pair of people were convinced this room was getting new carpet or paint or something, and they moved everything out. CLEARLY this room is staying as it is. Green paneling? Orange and green carpet with low wear? Nothing to change here, silly people. And when everyone else realized it wasn't getting new paint or carpet, things were put back in haphazardly as the other rooms were worked on. So all that hard work amounted to wasted time for me, I guess. Not sure that's the lesson I should be learning about cleaning, but there you go.
This next one isn't very impressive. It's just a small cluster of furniture in the play/doll room. But the room in the picture after this is much longer and completely full of furniture. You just can't tell because you can't see past the shelving very well, and I had already climbed into the back of the room a couple of other times for stuff and didn't feel like doing it again with the camera.
Okay, here is one view of the china room, which is totally stuffed. But it just looks like poorly arranged shelves from here.
And here is another view of the room, where it looks like a warehouse a little bit. I hear this will be the last room to be cleared, cleaned, and ready for moving. That's fair. I won't be painting china or starting major art projects anytime soon, probably. At least, not until the gardens are cleared.
The garage is also stuffed with furniture. Many of the wooden, plastic, and metal things were stored out there. And the mangle. The mangle was the most expensive thing to take to the auction due to its weight. It did not sell. It came back with us. Even though some people here are threatening to take it to a dump or make it "disappear", I think it will make a nice plant stand or work table or something. And if you ever need clothes wrung out, you let me know. I assume these things don't out live their warranties.
